NewProducts module
Product Description
In order to install NewProducts module you should extract all files from the archive and copy to your Magento store.
After that you can add the "NewProducts" block to the home page of your store:
{{block type="newproducts/list" name="newproducts.list" template="catalog/product/list.phtml"}}
If you use Flat Catalog, please, check that "news_from_date" and "news_to_date" product attributes have "Used in product listing" property set to "Yes". You can do it on the Catalog=>Attributes=>Manage Attributes page in admin area. After that you should rebuild Flat Catalog on the System=>Cache Managment page.
After that you can add the "NewProducts" block to the home page of your store:
